One work of art stood out at Nuit Blanche (Toronto's city-wide, free visual-arts festival): Freeze, an icy memorial to Neil Stonechild by Anishnabe artist Rebecca Belmore and her Cuban-born partner, Osvaldo Yero. Freeze was a transient memorial to the aboriginal teenager, Neil Stonechild, who was allegedly driven out and left to die beyond city limits by the Saskatoon police back in 1990.Miklos Legrady

"House Guests" show at the AGO. This show takes place in the historic Grange, which is attached to the AGO. Canadian artist Rebecca Belmore's work is the bed spread, it is made partly out of human hair. Rebecca will be doing a performance type element with her piece where she will be sleeping in the bed nude for the show.
