Martha Schabas has been a regular contributor to The Globe and Mail since 2014. Her dance and theatre criticism have also been published in The New York Times, The Walrus and Dance Magazine, among other publications. She is the author of two novels, My Face in the Light and Various Positions.
Martha holds an M.A in English Literature (Queen's University), an M.A in Creative Writing (University of East Anglia), a B.A. in Political Science (McGill University) and is a graduate of George Brown Theatre School's three-year conservatory program. She also trained for 15 years in classical ballet, including time at the National Ballet School.
