Area of Expertise

Investigations, sexual violence, crime, freedom of information, corporate law

Robyn Doolittle is an award-winning journalist and author. She is The Globe and Mail's corporate law reporter, and a former long-time member of the newspaper's investigative team. In her new legal beat, Doolittle has dug into the inside story of an executive pay scandal at the Law Society of Ontario, the collapse of Minden Gross LLP, and the fallout at the Lincoln Alexander School of Law at Toronto Metropolitan University after a group of students wrote an open letter demanding that the school drop its neutral position on the Israel-Hamas war.

Since coming to The Globe in 2014, Doolittle has investigated political and business corruption, the Hockey Canada scandal, gender inequities in the workforce and Canada’s broken freedom of information system as part of the Secret Canada project. Her “Unfounded” series, which exposed the ways that Canadian police services mishandle sexual assault cases, prompted a national overhaul of policy, training and practices around sexual violence.

She is the author of two books, “Had It Coming – What’s Fair In The Age of #MeToo?,” which was shortlisted for the RBC Taylor Prize for non-fiction, and “Crazy Town: The Rob Ford Story,” both of which were national bestsellers.
