David Harney, President and CEO, Great-West LifecoSUPPLIED
Great-West Lifeco is pleased to announce the appointment of David Harney to President and CEO, Great-West Lifeco and The Canada Life Assurance Company.
For more than 35 years, David has been helping grow and shape the company, delivering clear, strategic vision through progressively senior roles.
In 2016, he was appointed CEO of Irish Life. In 2020, he was named President and Chief Operating Officer, Europe, for Great-West Lifeco, and in 2024 he broadened his scope to include oversight of Lifeco’s reinsurance business.
David holds an MSc. in Financial Mathematics from Dublin City University, is a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries in Ireland, and is a past President of Insurance Ireland.
