Hartley T. Richardson, Chief Executive Officer, and Thor R. Richardson, President of James Richardson & Sons, Limited (JRSL), are pleased to announce the recent appointment of Mr. Moe Mangat, P. Eng, M. Eng, CFA as President and Chief Executive Officer of Tundra Oil & Gas Limited. They also extend their gratitude to Jane Mactaggart who retired as Tundra’s President and CEO on April 26, 2026 after serving eight years of her 16-year career with Tundra in that position.
Mr. Mangat has 25 years of experience in the oil and gas sector with both public and private companies, and possesses a deep knowledge and understanding of the upstream oil and gas sector in Western Canada. His perspective on technology adoption, respect for the environment and safe operations along with his broad experience in resource development, operational optimization and long-term value creation is consistent with Tundra’s long-standing culture and values.
Prior to joining Tundra, Mr. Mangat was the Chief Operating Officer of Westbrick Energy Ltd., a private company which he cofounded in 2010. Earlier in his career, he worked in a number of engineering and managerial positions of increasing seniority with several prominent companies in the energy sector including West Energy Ltd., Navigo Energy Trust, Samson Canada Ltd., and Petro-Canada Oil & Gas. Mr. Mangat holds a Bachelor of Applied Science in Chemical Engineering from the University of British Columbia, a Master of Engineering from the University of Calgary, and holds a Chartered Financial Analyst designation.
