HomeEquity Bank’s Board of Directors is pleased to welcome Yousry Bissada as HomeEquity Bank’s President and CEO, effective January 15, 2026.
Mr. Bissada brings more than 30 years of leadership experience in mortgage, technology and financial services to the Bank. He joins at a pivotal moment, with the Bank marking its 40th year, becoming a $10 billion institution and coming off another record year.
Canadians 55+ now make up one-third of Canada’s population, and more than 60% of them are homeowners. With an aging population with trillions in home equity, HomeEquity Bank is well-positioned for continued growth. Mr. Bissada’s extensive background in lending and deposit-funded mortgages, will be instrumental in helping HomeEquity Bank continue to grow while maintaining strong risk discipline.
A dedicated community member, Mr. Bissada serves on the board of The Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation. He lives in Toronto with his family.
