Bombardier Inc. BBD-B-T has signed a services agreement with private aviation company Vista valued at US$300-million over the next five years.

Paul Sislian, executive vice-president for aircraft sales and Bombardier aftermarket services, says the services and support agreement with Vista leverages the company’s smart parts programs, providing cost protection for select models of Vista’s Challenger and Global aircraft.

Vista is a longtime Bombardier customer and announced a deal in February to buy 40 of Bombardier’s Challenger 3500 business aircraft.

The sale is valued at US$1.18-billion based on list prices.

The agreement includes purchase options for an additional 120 aircraft. If all the options are exercised, the total order value for all 160 aircraft would amount to US$4.72-billion.

Vista also announced last week that it had taken possession of its first Bombardier Global 8000 aircraft.
