Bombardier’s ​BBD-B-T Global 8000 business ‍jet, the world’s fastest civilian plane ‍since ​the Concorde, has received certification from the U.S. Federal Aviation ⁠Administration, the Canadian plane maker said on Friday.

The Global 8000 ‌jet ‍has a ‍top speed of ‌Mach 0.95, ⁠or about 1,173 kilometres ​per hour.

The ultra-long range aircraft, which entered into service earlier this ​month, received certification from Canada’s transport regulator, Transport Canada on Nov. ⁠5, 2025.

Certification from ⁠the European Union ‌Aviation Safety Agency is pending, Bombardier said.
