Welcome to Intersect, a series of Globe and Mail events taking place across the country this spring, bringing our journalists together with leaders from various sectors to discuss the country’s sovereignty, confront a slowing economy and chart a path forward.

Today we’re in Halifax, speaking with cross-sector leaders and decision-makers as they explore Atlantic Canada’s economic outlook, emerging policy directions, and opportunities in areas such as shipbuilding, defence and energy development. You can see a full agenda for the day here. We’re livestreaming the event starting at 12:15 p.m. ADT so those who can’t be there in person can follow along, learning from other Canadians as they discuss resilience and prosperity in the East – and the rest of the country.

Our previous Intersect conferences took place in Toronto on April 22 and Calgary on May 13. The next and final event will be held in Vancouver on June 23.
