Thirteen train cars carrying a mix of lumber, propane and a non-toxic gas have derailed and tumbled into a body of water in southwest Calgary.

Terry Cunha, a spokesman for Canadian Pacific Kansas City Railway, says the train went off the tracks about 7:30 a.m.

No one was injured.

Cunha says some cars contain argon, an inert gas, but there’s no indication of any leaks.

Alex Kwan with Calgary’s fire department says some wood was seen floating in the water.

Kwan says people are being told to avoid the area but there’s no risk to public safety.
