Toronto police have identified two men who were shot and killed in the city’s north end early Saturday morning.

They also say a man is dead after a separate shooting at a nightclub in the city’s downtown core early Sunday, but his name has not been released.

In the north end incident, investigators say 25-year-old Christopher Teape died after being taken to hospital, while 32-year-old Ahmed Mohamud died at the scene.

Police say a third man who was also shot at the apartment building at about 1:30 a.m. made his own way to hospital.

They say the man, who has not been publicly identified, was treated for injuries that were not life-threatening.

Police have said a man was seen running to a nearby park, but they did not release any further suspect information.

Investigators are looking to speak to anyone with information about the shooting, or anyone who may have video or photos taken in the area at the time.

In the downtown incident, officers found the victim suffering from a gunshot wound just before 3 a.m. in a club on Peter Street, and he was rushed to hospital where he died.

Police have not named the man and say they have yet to identify any suspects.

Constable David Hopkinson says staff were cleaning up and closing the establishment when they found the man and contacted police.

He declined to say where the man was in the club, but said officers located a firearm nearby.

Constable Hopkinson says investigators believe the shooting occurred inside the bar and gunshots might not have been heard amid the loud music and packed crowd.
