Roughly 120 trained volunteers and police with dogs and on bikes are searching in Calgary today for a missing 11-year-old boy who is non-verbal and autistic.
Calgary police say the search for Parker will also see his favourite Disney songs being played from cars patrolling streets.
His family has said those who spot him should not approach him, and instead call police immediately because he can be frightened of strangers.
Parker was last seen on Thursday afternoon at a home in Calgary’s north end and police have said foul play is not a factor in his case.
He was shirtless, wearing grey shorts and black noise-cancelling headphones.
An Amber Alert was issued in Parker’s search Saturday afternoon and police say they have received 90 tips on his whereabouts.
“As the investigation progresses, search efforts are becoming increasingly focused on areas connected to Parker’s last known movements and reported sightings,” police said Sunday.
Police said hundreds of officers have knocked on doors, canvased streets and continue to review hours of video footage.
“We remain grateful for the tremendous community support we have received.”
