Ontario Premier Doug Ford attends Question Period at the Ontario Legislature in Toronto on Dec. 3.Chris Young/The Canadian Press

Ontario Premier Doug Ford’s office says the premier is all right after a vehicle he was travelling in today was involved in a collision.

A spokesperson says the crash involving the Ontario Provincial Police vehicle happened on Highway 401 earlier today.

Ford was on his way back from an announcement at Darlington Nuclear Generating Station.

Grace Lee says the premier, staff and OPP officers in the vehicle are safe.

She says the driver of the other vehicle is believed to have non-life-threatening injuries.

Ford was at Darlington to talk about a vision to supply both Canada and the United States with energy, in the face of American tariff threats.
