Quebec is reporting 13 more deaths attributed to COVID-19 and a 13-patient drop in hospitalizations.

There are 1,021 patients hospitalized with COVID-19 in the province after 76 people were admitted and 89 were discharged in the previous 24 hours.

Authorities say 45 patients are in intensive care, a drop of five patients.

The Health Department is reporting 1,170 new COVID-19 cases based on PCR testing that is limited to certain high-risk groups, with a test positivity rate of 11.6 per cent of analyzed cases.

More than 6,600 doses of vaccine were administered on Thursday, including more than 4,100 booster doses.

Quebec has reported 14,245 COVID-19 linked deaths since the beginning of the pandemic.
