A snow day can be the perfect excuse to take a brood of thrilled children to the toboggan hill, or corral neighbourhood snow lovers to resurrect Frosty the snowman from his Christmastime slumber.

As rare as they have become, snow days can be opportunities for Canadians to enjoy and appreciate the winter weather we are lucky to have in our northern country.

While much of Eastern Canada is blanketed with a thick deluge of snow this week, The Globe wants to know your favourite memories of playing in a winter wonderland.
