Two teenage boys are facing charges following a series of incidents in downtown Regina Saturday evening.

Officers were called to the Cornwall Centre area on 11th Avenue at around 8:45 p.m. for reports of a break and enter.

Police say surveillance video showed two suspects breaking into a business and stealing a fire extinguisher, then running across the street and discharging the extinguisher in another business.

Officers arrived at the scene quickly and took a 13-year-old boy and a 14-year-old boy into custody, with one suspect allegedly in possession of a knife.

Both teens are charged with break and enter and mischief under $5,000, with the older boy facing an additional count of carrying a concealed weapon.

They are both scheduled to appear in Provincial Youth Court on March 8, 2023.
