More than a quarter of women experience negative health issues related to menstruation, menopause and fertility, and 40 percent of them push through pain to make it through their workday, according to a 2024 report from Deloitte.
Women also provide more care at home, Statistics Canada found, resulting in additional stress. These challenges not only affect women’s careers and wellness, but they impact workplace retention and engagement.
The Globe and mail brought HR professionals and other leaders together for a virtual panel discussion on March 24. Speakers shared strategies to support women’s health and well-being at work and create cultures where all employees can thrive.
