RCMP have issued a Canada-wide warrant for a man believed to be armed and dangerous and suspected in the abduction of a woman in a northwestern Alberta town.
Mounties say a woman was taken by a man with a gun from a business location in Fox Creek on Monday afternoon, but she managed to escape later in the day.
Police say the two knew each other through business dealings.
David James Rogerson, who is 49 and from British Columbia, faces numerous charges that include kidnapping with a firearm and unlawful confinement.
Rogerson is described as being five-foot-seven-inches tall, weighing 200 pounds and wearing a light-brown jacket and blue jeans.
He was last seen travelling in a black 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee with B.C. licence plate 655MPR.
