Edmonton police say they have solved a homicide case from last fall and determined that a man who died around the same time was responsible.
The body of Patricia Roach, 54, was found in Edmonton on Oct. 24, and police believe she had been killed on Oct. 21 or Oct. 22.
The medical examiner determined she had been fatally stabbed.
The body of John Gearhart, 37, was found on Oct. 22 in Spruce Grove, Alta.
Police say they have determined he was the one who killed Roach, adding the two of them knew each other.
His death is considered non-criminal.
