Rob Hellyer scored his fifth goal of the game 4:17 into overtime as the Toronto Rock beat the Edmonton Rush 16-15 in a matchup between two National Lacrosse League division leaders on Friday night.

Kasey Beirnes had a hat trick for the Rock (8-1), who have the best record in the league. Brett Hickey, Stephan Leblanc and Josh Sanderson each added two goals while Brodie Merrill and Kevin Ross had the others.

Zack Greer led the offence for Edmonton (4-3) with five goals and three assists. Robert Church, Mark Matthews, Jeremy Thompson and Ben McIntosh each struck twice with Jarrett Davis and Adrian Sorichetti rounding out the attack.

Brandon Miller turned away 44 shots in net for the win. Aaron Bold started for the Rush, making 26 saves through 59:23. Tyler Carlson entered for 4:54 of relief and stopped two shots.

Toronto went 1 for 2 on the man advantage while Edmonton was scoreless on three chances.
