A suspect who police were seeking in a stabbing that seriously injured a man and woman in a Calgary home has been arrested.

Qisong Zhou, a 50-year-old man who police say is known to the alleged victims, was arrested Tuesday afternoon.

Police have said the stabbing on Monday morning was targeted.

Two other adults and three children in the home at the time were not hurt.

Neighbours say three generations of family members lived in the home, but kept mostly to themselves because of a language barrier.

Zhou is charged with one count of attempted murder, one count of assault with a weapon and two counts of assault with a weapon for a dangerous purpose.
