Matthew Campese opened the scoring for the Blazers (22-15-7) midway through the first period.
Kole Gable responded at 16:58 of the first for the Oil Kings (17-22-7), who are on a five-game slide.
Kamloops goaltender Connor Ingram made 34 saves for the win as Payton Lee turned away 26-of-28 shots for Edmonton.
The Blazers went 0 for 1 on the power play while the Oil Kings failed to score on two chances with the man advantage.
