A family in southern Alberta is mourning the death of a six-year-old girl who was found unconscious in a water-filled dugout.

Police say the girl's body was found Monday afternoon.

The girl could not be revived despite the efforts of relatives and medical staff.

An autopsy is to be been performed in Calgary.

Police say the girl's death does not appear to be suspicious. (CHQR)
