New Brunswick RCMP are investigating after the body of a woman was discovered in the Saint John River.
Police say the body was found around 11 a.m. on Wednesday in the river in Clearview, about 160 kilometres northwest of Fredericton.
The Mounties say they are not sure how long the body had been floating in the river, but the death doesn't appear to have been recent.
An autopsy will be conducted to confirm the age and identity of the woman as well as the cause of death.
