Emergency responders in western New Brunswick have recovered a body from a home that was destroyed by fire early Monday.

RCMP in Woodstock say they were called to the home in Peel at around 4:45 a.m.

Police say the residence was engulfed in flames when firefighters arrived at the scene.

No other details were released.

The Mounties say they are continuing their investigation.
