A young harbour seal is safely back in the water after going for a stroll in downtown Halifax.
Police say officers were on patrol in the Bishop's Landing area of the waterfront when they flagged down around 12:30 a.m. today by a woman who had found a seal under a parked vehicle.
After a short search the officers found the seal moving down the middle of Lower Water Street.
After a little persuasion the officers managed to wrap the seal in a blanket and took it back to the harbour's edge.
The seal was released and swam away.
