Police in Halifax say a 75-year-old man has been taken to hospital after a home invasion in the neighbourhood of Dartmouth.
Investigators say two people broke into the residence early Sunday morning.
They say when the man woke up and confronted the intruders, they hit him over the head, causing injuries to his head and face.
He was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Several firearms were taken from the home.
