Police in Nova Scotia are looking for a man they say stole thousands of dollars worth of jewelry from a store in a Halifax mall.

Halifax Regional Police say a man made off with a diamond worth roughly $5,500 and a gold chain worth about $2,500 from a store in the Mic Mac Mall on March 29.

Police say the man was in the store looking at the two pieces of jewelry when he left without paying.
