The RCMP in western Newfoundland have arrested a man in connection with a crash that claimed the life of a 15-year-old boy nearly a year ago.
Alexander McCarthy died last Nov. 22 after a vehicle in which he was passenger crashed on the Trans-Canada Highway near St. Judes.
Police say a 19-year-old man who was also in the vehicle was arrested Wednesday.
Stephen Clarke faces a charge of dangerous driving resulting in McCarthy's death and public mischief by making a false statement to investigators.
Police say the accused has been released from custody and is due back in Corner Brook provincial court Dec. 16.
