Three people have been charged with first-degree murder in connection with the death of a Nova Scotia man whose body was found in a stolen car in a Halifax-area cemetery last month.

A fourth man and a 17-year-old youth have also been charged with accessory after the fact related to the alleged murder of 26-year-old Tylor Donovan McInnis of Halifax.

The black Honda Civic that McInnis' body was found in was reported stolen in North Preston, just outside Halifax, on Aug. 23.

Police say that at 6:30 a.m. Monday, investigators searched a home in the suburb of Cole Harbour and arrested 24-year-old Shawntez Neco Downey; 18-year-old Daniel Romeo Downey; and 25-year-old Nicco Alexander Smith.

The men are all charged with first-degree murder, as well as robbery and unlawful confinement.

A fourth man, 34-year-old Judson Lemar Falls, was arrested in a home in North Preston and charged with accessory after the fact.

A short time later, the 17-year-old youth, whose identity is protected under the Youth Criminal Justice Act, was arrested at a school in Cole Harbour and charged with accessory after the fact to murder.
