A Newfoundland man who evaded police for years has been brought back to Ontario to face charges in a break and enter and several other offences.
Police say Donald Mugford, 44, is accused in a 2009 break and enter in Milton, Ont., and they suspect he may also be behind other break-ins in Halton Region.
They say he is also wanted by provincial police, Toronto police and police in Peel Region on multiple offences, including theft over $5,000, theft under $5,000, break and enter, dangerous operation of a motor vehicle and breach of probation.
Police say Mugford was arrested during a traffic stop in Newfoundland on July 28.
Halton officers charged him Monday and have since returned him to Ontario, where he'll face all outstanding charges against him.
