Members of the Bridgewater police force were investigating Monday evening after officers found a person's body in a wooded area in the south shore community.
The police force tweeted that officers were on the scene of a sudden death in a cordoned-off area off North King Street.
Officers from the RCMP's forensic identification unit were also on the scene and firefighters from Bridgewater set up lighting to assist late Monday.
