Nova Scotia's police watchdog is investigating after it was discovered that the suspect of a break and enter had a broken wrist.
The Serious Incident Response Team says the 38-year-old man was arrested early Saturday in the Halifax area in connection with a break and enter at a sporting goods store earlier that morning.
Police say after the arrest he was taken to hospital and it was determined that he had a broken wrist.
Halifax police say the man is now back in police custody and charges are pending.
The Serious Incident Response Team investigates all serious incidents involving police in the province, regardless of whether there is an allegation of wrongdoing.
