Police are looking for a man thought to be in his 20s who allegedly pulled up to a 12-year-old girl in his car and followed her on foot in Cape Breton before fleeing.
They say the girl was walking on Convent Street in Sydney Mines at about 11 a.m. when a vehicle passed by and stopped abruptly.
They say the driver rolled down his window, spoke to the girl as he followed her onto another street, got out of the vehicle and pursued her on foot.
The man allegedly left the scene when the girl met up with a family member.
Police described the driver as being in his mid-to-late 20s with dark skin, a thick beard and a heavy accent.
They say the vehicle was a blue, newer model SUV.
