Police say two men are facing charges after allegedly forcing a car off the road in Halifax, injuring two women and an eight-month-old baby.
Officers say the women were on Highway 118 when a red sports utility vehicle swerved across both lanes at a high rate of speed and struck the car, sending it into the ditch just before 6 p.m. Monday.
Police say the driver of the SUV stopped and the people inside allegedly switched spots in the vehicle before driving off, but were stopped by an officer a short time later.
A 23-year-old man from Truro is facing several charges, including criminal negligence causing bodily harm and impaired driving.
A 25-year-old man from Millbrook is facing the same charges, in addition to breaches of court conditions.
The women and baby were taken to hospital to be treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
