The RCMP in Surrey, B.C., are trying to understand what brought two men to hospital with gunshot wounds over the weekend.

The Mounties say the pair arrived for medical care shortly before 11 p.m. on Saturday.

One of them is suffering from life-threatening injuries.

Both are believed to be in their 20s.
