Stocks are opening slightly lower in the U.S. as energy companies slide along with the price of crude oil.
Noble Energy slumped 2 per cent in early trading Monday. The company reported revenue that was well below what analysts were forecasting.
The Dow Jones industrial average lost 13 points, or 0.1 per cent, to 17,672 as of 9:35 a.m. Eastern time.
The Standard & Poor's 500 index fell a point to 2,102.
The Nasdaq composite edged up seven points, or 0.1 per cent, to 5,135.
Oil prices fell again, bringing the price of U.S. crude down to its lowest level since March.
Bond prices didn't move much. The yield on the 10-year Treasury note held steady at 2.19 per cent.
