Here are five things to look for in Canadian business this week:

Environment ministers: Provincial and territorial environment ministers start a two-day meeting in Winnipeg on Monday. Climate change and oil and gas regulations are sure to be on the agenda, but Manitoba's NDP government says it also intends to raise microbeads at the meeting. Loblaw's recently announced it was going to stop manufacturing products containing the tiny plastic beads by the end of 2018.

Housing: RBC issues its quarterly housing affordability report on Monday. In its last report, RBC Economics found that home ownership is becoming less affordable on average across Canada thanks to price increases in Ontario, especially Toronto, and in Vancouver.

Online gambling: Amaya, owner of PokerStars, holds it annual meeting on Monday in Montreal. The company is currently under investigation by Quebec's securities regulator for insider trading related to the acquisition of PokerStars, the largest online poker cardroom in the world with nearly 50 million registered players.

Blackberry: Investors will be looking for direction from CEO John Chen on Wednesday on how he intends to improve the company's operations, which have barely returned to profitability. BlackBerry has struggled to sell its most recent devices and its software business is still in a transition phase that Chen is hoping will become a significant revenue driver.

Shaw: The communications company is releasing its third-quarter results on Thursday morning. In addition to changes affecting the industry as a whole, the cable and media company has also been dealing with a downturn in Alberta's economy due to low oil prices.
