The Dow lost 117.16 points, or 0.6 per cent, to 17,959.03.
The Standard & Poor's 500 fell 10.23 points, or 0.5 per cent, to 2,089.27.
The Nasdaq composite rose 9.55 points, or 0.2 per cent, to 4,992.38.

The Dow is up 209.72 points, or 1.2 per cent.
The S&P 500 index is up 35.87 points, or 1.8 per cent.
The Nasdaq is up 120.62 points, or 2.5 per cent.

The Dow is up 135.96 points, or 0.8 per cent.
The S&P 500 index is up 30.37 points, or 1.5 per cent.
The Nasdaq is up 256.32 points, or 5.4 per cent.
