Canadian National (TSX:CNR) says the 2,100 members of its Unifor shopcraft group have ratified a new four-year contract with the company.

The group represents car mechanics, heavy-duty equipment mechanics and electricians in Canada.

Details of the agreement were not disclosed.

The shopcraft group's ratification follows earlier ratification of 51-month contracts by Unifor's clerical/intermodal, Savage Alberta Railway, excavator-operator and CNTL owner-operator members at CN.

Unifor represents 4,800 CN employees at Canada's largest railway.
