The man who lost ownership of the LA Clippers because of racial remarks says the woman who recorded his offensive words got her name on a house he purchased because she's black and Hispanic.
Donald Sterling testified Wednesday in a Los Angeles court during his wife's lawsuit that claims he was deceived into lavishing V. Stiviano with millions of dollars in gifts.
Sterling says he paid for Stiviano's $1.8 million duplex because she's poor and her family is on welfare.
Sterling noted that Stiviano is black and Hispanic, and he says she befriended a Hispanic bank employee and illegally got her name on a check for the house that should belong to him.
Shelly Sterling seeks $3.6 million her husband gave the younger woman that she says was her joint property.
