Matt Kepnes quit a desk job to travel the world. In his popular travel blog NomadicMatt.com , he offers tips on budget travel and what to do in destinations as well as the motivation some folks need to get out there.
In an interview with the AP podcast "Get Outta Here ," Kepnes described himself as a "personal coach" offering the push some of us need to plan that trip, budget for it and take that break from work.
Kepnes, author of the bestselling "How to Travel the World on $50 a Day," says the key to cheap travel is travelling like you live, using budget lodging, buying food in markets and enjoying free events like the locals do.
