Jonathan Franzen, whose novel "Purity" is expected to be the literary release of the fall, will be a featured speaker at BookExpo America.
The prize-winning author of "The Corrections" and "Freedom" will appear Wednesday, May 27, the opening day of publishing's annual national convention.
He will be interviewed onstage by Salon.com critic Laura Miller, BookExpo officials announced Wednesday.
BookExpo America will take place at the Jacob Javits Convention Center in New York.
