A school had to be evacuated in the small Manitoba town of Binscarth after a nearby home caught fire.

By the time crews got to the scene Wednesday afternoon, the fire had already taken hold.

Some nearby homes were also evacuated as a precaution but no other properties were damaged and no one was injured.

RCMP say the cause of the fire doesn't appear to be suspicious.
