The Winnipeg Jets have signed defenceman Jan Kostalek on a three-year, two-way entry-level contract with an average annual value of US$850,000.
The 20-year-old Kostalek is in his third Quebec Major Junior Hockey League season with the Rimouski Oceanic and currently has 43 points (seven goals , 36 assists) and 35 penalty minutes in 55 games.
He was selected by the Jets in the fourth round, 114th overall, in the 2013 draft.
