Nine cars of a westbound Canadian National freight train have derailed in downtown Winnipeg.
The company has tweeted that the cars remained upright and that two of the derailed units were empty while the others contained sand.
The company says crews are on site working to restore service and the cause of the derailment is under investigation.
There were no reports of injuries or leaks.
