Two teenage boys have been arrested for allegedly firing a BB air gun from a Winnipeg apartment balcony at some children playing in a nearby soccer field.
Police say officers, along with their tactical support unit, were called out early Wednesday evening after reports of someone firing shots at a south-end location.
They later found the 16-year-old suspects in an upper suite with an air gun, and determined that several rounds had allegedly been fired in the children's direction.
No one was hurt.
Some earlier reports had said that a man had been arrested.
The teens, who are facing charges that include assault with a weapon, have been released on a promise to appear.
