A daycare owner has been charged with criminal negligence causing harm after a toddler's hands were burned in mid-October.
Chris Phippard and his wife dropped their daughter off at the unlicensed facility but when they picked her up late they had to rush her to hospital.
Phippard says police have told him they suspect the child's hands were put into hot water and held there for an undetermined length of time.
The girl, named Chantal, had her last doctor's appointment last week and she no longer needs skin grating or home health care.
However, her hands are scarred and doctors don't know how long they'll stay that way.
Police have charged a woman and say she has been released on a promise to appear.
