A Winnipeg Transit driver has been arrested and is facing charges in a fatal crash last April that claimed the life of a 72-year-old woman.
Emergency crews responded shortly after 9 a.m. on April 7 to the Keewatin Street and Burrows Avenue area.
Police say the female pedestrian was standing on the southwest corner of the intersection when a transit bus making a turn struck her, causing her to fall under the bus.
The 45-year-old driver faces charges of dangerous operation of a motor vehicle causing death.
