Winnipeg police have arrested a 17-year-old suspect and are seeking four other males in the sexual assault of a 20-year-old woman last month.

The woman flagged down police on July 14 at 1:30 a.m. and told them she had been sexually assaulted by a group of five males.

She said she and a friend had earlier met up with a male who the friend knew, along with one of his friends.

While walking in the area, the victim and her friend became separated and three other males not known by the complainant joined the group.

On July 27, officers arrested the 17-year-old suspect in The Maples.

He's been charged with sexual assault.
